About Tri Zones Training

Whether you are just starting out with your first triathlon, or you have done a few tri's and you are ready to get back in the saddle this season, we welcome all abilities. Led by certified coaches, Tri Zones Training offers camaraderie and support while helping you build a solid base for the upcoming triathlon season.

Tri Zones Training is designed to optimize your training, maximize your efforts, and make your training time productive. Tri Zones Training utilizes heart rate training -- we apply training zones to the building blocks of triathlon training - speed work, strength work, steady state work, and recovery. Tri Zones Training is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.

Tri Zones Training was founded by the coaches who managed Team Danskin Training in Austin from 2003 until 2007. These coaches started Tri Zones Training in 2003 when team members found themselves hooked on a new lifestyle of fitness and wanted to continue training for triathlons. The Tri Zones Training coaches have helped their team achieve success with their training and race goals. Team members continue through the fall and winter, improving their running skills and maintaining off-season fitness.
