The Toughest Race in Texas

Quick turns, narrow paths and steep limestone slopes make these race courses as challenging as they are beautiful. No congested city streets or exhaust fumes – each course is contained within the 400-acre St. Stephen’s School campus between Capital of Texas Highway and Lake Austin. You’ll trek through a classic Hill Country panorama with 100-year-old oaks and cedar bluffs interspersed with native grass and cactus meadows.

This race benefits Marathon Kids. I just signed up. I did it last year, and enjoyed it a lot. It's small, and goes through UT, which is pretty. And a good warm up for Turkey Trot with the same rolling hills. This year the course starts and ends at Scholtz's, with free beer afterwards. And, you get coolmax socks with the race logo. If you're a UT fan, you'll like that, if you're not, swap the socks with a friend!
