How can you support animal adoption and welfare in Central Texas? Participate in Blue Dog Rescue's second annual 5K, Run for the Rovers! Presented by Premier Animal Hospital, all proceeds from the event benefit Blue Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization working to place adoptable, homeless dogs with forever families.
Register before May 1st to save $5 on your 5K entry fee!
On May 1st, the entry fee changes to $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 5K with a dog.5K: $25.00
5K with Dog: $30.00
Kids' 1K: $10.00
Prizes go to the top overall female and male and the top 3 females and males from each age group (13–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50, 51–60, and over 60). Prizes include gift certificates to local businesses, veterinary care, heartworm and flea preventative, and more!
The race is primarily for human participants, but you can register your canine family members for the run as well. Each dog receives a goody bag, and the top 5 dogs win prizes. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and rabies shots, well-socialized, and on standard 4- or 6-foot leashes (no retractable leashes). One canine per person please!
New for 2007! We’ve added a Kids 1K to start at 8 am, so bring the whole family plus Fido!
