Mansfield Dam Park
Address: 4370 Mansfield Dam Road
We meet at Mansfield Dam Park for most of our open water swim workouts. This park features a protected cove which is perfect for open water swimming. Other offerings include picnic areas, a playground, camping, store and concessions, restrooms, and more.
From their website: "The western peninsula of Mansfield Dam park enjoys some of the most beautiful views of Lake Travis. Wander along our hike and bike trail to a peaceful pavilion surrounded by trees and vines. This is an excellent spot to appreciate the view, watch the wildlife, or read a book."
Directions:
From the intersection of RR 620 and FM 2222, travel south 4.9 miles. Turn right onto Mansfield Dam Road, just south of Mansfield Dam. The park entrance is on your left.
We usually park outside the park entrance (turn to the right rather than to the left). Arrive 15 minutes early, and we'll carpool in. Bring $1 - $2 to give to your driver. The per-vehicle price is $8 ($3 per pedestrian/cyclist). If you arrive late and miss the carpool, enter the park and turn left at the stop sign - towards day use parking.
