After a shotgun start at sunset, runners and walkers will wind their way along a 5K course through the streets bordering Town Lake. The lightning fast out-and-back race route starts at the trail underneath MOPAC next to the large piece of granite runners call “The Rock.” The route heads east along Stephen F. Austin Drive and Cesar Chavez to a turnaround near City Hall. It returns along the almost-all-downhill Cesar Chavez back to The Rock finishing in front of the American Legion Hall on Veterans Drive.

Immediately afterward, the Trail Foundation will host a Tex-Mex Fiesta on the American Legion Hall lawn with margaritas, a buffet by the wonderful folks at Maudie's,mariachi music, and a fabulous silent auction with items such as a hot air balloon ride with Mayor Will Wynn, Pure Austin Gym Membership, Shoreline Grill Gift Certificates, Roy's Hawaiian Grill Gift Certificate, Lance Armstrong autographed Sports Illustrated, 2 ACLFest 3-day Passes, a $2500 Sports Injury Treatment Package from Advanced Rehabilitation, and many more! Party attendees must be 21 years of age or older by August 2, 2007.
