Back for its second year, this half Iron distance race promises to be a fun one. Swim in Decker Lake, ride through rolling Texas farmland, and run throughout Walter E. Long Park. The awesome post-race party features barbeque, beer, Amy's Ice Cream, and free massages. Race 7 in the Texas Tri Series -- even if you don't race, you can volunteer and still earn points towards the series!  The Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Austin is an official qualifier for the 2009 Ironman World Championship 70.3 -- we can expect to see some top competitors here!

I'm unsure what I'm doing (besides Couples, my 2007 partner just emailed me), but if I don't "Do" 70.3, you can bet I'll bet out there volunteering.
