All-American Long Course Championship 3/6/2008
The All-American Long Course Championship meet is at UT this weekend (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). If you want to see some of the best swimmers in the world in top racing condition, this is going to be a great meet. Michael Phelps is going to be swimming the 200 IM on Thursday (shooting for the world record) and there will be lots of other great swimmers including the local olympians (Piersol, Crocker, Hansen and Walker) plus Rolan Schuman, Cullen Jones, Tara Kirk, Kirsty Coventry and lots of others.
Prelims are during the day with finals starting at 5:30 each evening. More information is here (including the full psych sheet): http://www.utexas.edu/longhornaquatics/meets/#allamericanlc

awesome
I might have to fit this into the schedule for this weekend...
If I have seen farther than other (wo)men it is by standing on the shoulders of giants- Isaac Newton, physicist

A more entertaining version
The swimmers are also doing a multi-media version of a swim meet on Sunday afternoon, involving music, lights, world-class swimmers, giveaways, grudge-matches, and non-stop swimming.
I'm probably going to bring my daughter to this, since she is on summer swim team.

It's cool!
I've been to this (or something similar) to this at UT before and it was amazing to watch these swimmers. Really is good inspiration and that nudge you need to get back in the pool!
