I got an email from the race director that the Texas State Tri Team is putting on an event April 13th at Aquarena Springs and they need 100 more participants to make it happen. We have a few Tri Zoners already signed up!!!!

The swim is this race's tradmark leg as it is the clearest swim out of all the Texas races. Athletes will have the privilege to swim in a highly environmentally protected, spring fed lake. Swimmers will get a chance to see plenty of wildlife as well as observe the jet streams of water coming out of the springs at the bottom of the lake. The Aquarena springs lake triathlon is the only time when swimmers are allowed in the lake because it is such a protected resource. You can even go to the website and check out your competition by clickning on "who's registered!"
