BikeEd videos -- Rules of the road for cyclists
Hello team!
Eileen, a Team Leader for the South team, is a BikeEd instructor here in Austin. She sent some links to some great video clips that demonstrate rules of the road for cyclists. Remember, bicycles are vehicles and must follow the same laws that drivers of cars must follow! And don't forget -- those drivers don't see you!!
Here are the video clips that Eileen recommends:

The first clip to check out is The Rights & Duties of Cyclists. It is a quick overview of vehicular cycling.
This clip Lane Control San Luis Obispo shows the rider moving through traffic in all sorts of situations.
This clip Lane Control in Long Beach CA is longer but has text explaining what is being demonstrated.
These films are taken by some fellow BikeEd Instructors in southern California - you can tell they are engineers since they like to play with tech toys! I really like the clips, they quickly show concepts that are difficult to convey verbally. Watch what you can and bring questions. I'll be demonstrating some of the same concepts on my portable road.
