COURSE - The course is located at scenic Inks Lake State Park just west of Burnet (about 9 miles down Hwy. 29). The swim is an out and back, open water in Inks Lake. Water temperature is still around 80 degrees this time of year. Bike ride is out and back on Park Rd. 4, a paved State road. This is an open road race and all laws and safety precautions must be strictly enforced. The bike has a few slight grades and curves, nothing major. The 5K is through the campsites in the park, again, no major hills to contend with.

The event is a limited field event with registration closing by Sept. 1 -- but it could close earlier if filled, so register early! This is the last year that this race will be offered.

There is limited camping at the race site.

After the race we can drive into Marble Falls to Bluebonnet Cafe for PIE- as long as we get there before 1:00, because they close at 1:45!
