OWS tonight? Lake Pflugerville
Are we still on for a OWS tonight at Lake Pflugerville tonight? I believe we were gonna meet at 6pm. Jody/Red can you still support us? Is anyone else up for this?
Nicole

Phil and I will be there at about 6-6:30
Do I need to bring the canoe? I didn't unpack anything when I got home last night and took another car to work this morning, so it would not be a problem if we need it. It would literally bea matter of me getting in the truck and driving.
Red
"Yeah, I swim/bike/run like a girl."

I dont think?
I dont think you need to bring it, unless you are going to use it? I am not sure if Jose will come so I dont know if we will have anyone to "drive" it.
unless someone else's SO wants to use it?

Probably Not
Bring it if you want to, of course, but the kayak will probably do the trick.

I so wanna go
But I cant be there by 6 with traffic.. hmmm.. will try ot figure it out
If I have seen farther than other (wo)men it is by standing on the shoulders of giants- Isaac Newton, physicist

What time could youmake it?
I'm sure that we will be there awhile. I'll probably get there about 6:30. Also, although I am not crazy about the toll roads 130 passes about 1 1/2 miles from the lake.
Red
"Yeah, I swim/bike/run like a girl."

Im not sure
If I show up, YAY!.. if not, dont wait for me, but im definitely interested.
I rode my bike today, so i Have to get home to the car and then see if I feel like exerciing anymore..

You have to exit at Pfluger
You have to exit at Pfluger Lane, which might be the same exit as Kelly Lane coming from 45. If you take 130 from 45, you will go to far. If you exit Kelly Lane from 45, stay on the frontage road and turn right instead of going straight on Kelly Lane, you will hit Pfluger Lane. Turn left on Pfluger Lane, or you can go straight on Kelly Lane, turn right on Weiss Lane, then right on Pfluger Lane.

Agree
Yeah I agree with Red we will be there for probably an hour I would guess. Since it will take a while to get the boats goin' and get us all in the water. We will stick around a bit and make sure all the "starting late" swimmers get out.

Which dock?
Which dock do ya'll swim from? How far are the bouys? How is the hydrilla?
I'm scared of this lake and its a shame since its in my 'hood. The last time I swam in this lake was last year, I think, and as much as I'm not afraid of swimming in the lake, there was so much hydrilla that it sent me into a panic attack.

buoys are 250 meters apart
first one is 250 meters from the boat dock closest to the dam. Second one is 250 meters from that.
