Stats on Lake Pflugerville Tri
Race results were posted on the Lake Pflugerville website today. I thought I'd share a couple of stats.
Overall
364 finishers; min time 59:58; aver time 1:32; max 2:32
Overall women's
161 finishers; min time 1:09; aver time 1:39; max time 2:32
Congratulations to all that participated. It was a great race and a beautiful day!

And another interesting note...
Hardware was earned by Jody, Shannon, Jimmy, Red and Julie. Thats 5 Trizoners whipping some serious butt. Congrats to all. Was there even another team there? :-)

You missed one!
Team Leader Kathleen Coyne also got hardware!! Yeeeeeha!
And the only other obvious team there was Jack & Adam's... By the way, I think Jack intentionally finished last in their wave... Going out on the run, there were 4 or 5 of them together. Someone that they knew yelled, 'Hey guys, this is a race not a group workout!!' The audience broke out laughing...
So, we could get our very own wave as a team!! That would be fun but it does take you out of the running for the age group awards. We would just get 3 awards in our wave... Unless we wanted to supply our own awards and hardware. But, how fun!!! :-)

Sorry Kathleen. Wow! Even
Sorry Kathleen.
Wow! Even Better. I don't know how many awards were given but to have 6 TZ athletes get hardware is way cool. We dominated the medal ceremony! :-)

We need a Hall of Honor page!
Somewhere on this site we should have a page listing races and hardware won! Wouldn't that be cool?

More interesting things about P'ville Tri...
Thanks, Beth! And below is the link to the results...

The first wave of the tri was all Jack and Adams folks. They had their own wave and so they just competed with each other. It was fun to watch them doing the race and interesting to see our favorite bike specialists out there having fun! By the way, Jack was last... :-)
And James Bonner, a tri celebrity, DNF'd! He should have won the race. I heard his wife say that he reached a point on the bike course where there should have been someone directing him to turn and they weren't there! He was the first person out on the bike course and beat the volunteers out there! So, he went 10 minutes out of his way, she said... Yikes! Guess he decided not to finish after that... Bummer.
And one more interesting stat: Kathleen Murphy, North Team Leader, was the number one swimmer in her wave!! Yeeeeeeeha! Congrats, Kathleen!
