Q: "I am participating in the race next Sunday, and am wondering if it would be possible to have the lady who is coaching me accompany on the bike portion of the race?  

 

A: The Danskin is a closed course. For the safety of the participants, only registered athletes and volunteers working the race are permitted to be on the course. There will be course marshalls and support throughout the course, so you won't be out there without some help should you need it!  Lanes will also be closed off to traffic, so that won't be an issue. Something that can help is to drive the bike course prior to the race and familiarize yourself with it. There will be some scheduled race information talks going on at the expo as well where you can learn more about the course. Finally, come by the Information Booth at the Expo and ask questions!  You will do great!
