OWS at Lake Pflugerville -- Thursday or Friday?
Which evening is better for the OWS at Lake Pflugerville -- Thursday, July 9, or Friday, July 10? I can provide kayak support for either day but not both.  I can be there between 5:00 and 7:00 if you'll let me know you're coming later than 5:00-ish. We've had some really goood swims out there. If you're doing Couples, it might be a nice chance to get in another open water practice.

Since something really important came up for me on Thursday, I'm sorry I have to disappoint those who prefer Thursday. I'll be at the lake on Friday from 5:00 to 6:30 or maybe 7:00 if any Tri Zoners are still in the water. Hope to see you out there.

Kenneth... if I brought my
Kenneth... if I brought my bike, would you mind looking at my tire?  I busted the valve off my tire couple of weeks ago while pumping, and even though I know how to change my tire, I just can't get the darn thing off the rim, even with all my might!! I've been riding my old bike since and I hate it. I just haven't had time to get to a bike shop. :(

I smell flowers!
Had a nice time tonight at the Lake Pflugerville Pfriday at Pfive swim. I did double the distance that I had done last week, but mostly because I knew if I had to swim thru the hydrilla a second time, I might not do it.Â
So most people know I'm mostly a breaststroker. I decided today to work on my freestyle, but every time I started, I smelled a flowery smell. I'd go back to breastroke and the smell would go away. Start free style again, and back to the flowery smell. So, out in the middle of the lake, I'm having this internal battle with myself trying to figure out where on earth tthat flowery smell is coming from!?! Then I realized its my deoderant! Yuck! It was a very strong smell, too, almost nauseous. Note to self: wear non-smelling deoderant!
