Shameless plea for volunteers for the Decker Challenge and the Jingle Bell 5K
Red Licorice Events has TWO exciting events coming up and we need your help!
First up is the Decker Challenge on December 6, 2009 at the Travis County Expo Center. This is a half marathon, a relay, and for a few hardy souls, the Double Decker Challenge is a full marathon! The race takes place on Sunday, December 6, but we have volunteer positions for setup and packet pickup open on Friday and Saturday, December 4-5.
The race benefits both the Town Lake Trail Foundation and the Dick Beardsley Foundation.

Second is the Jingle Bell 5K on December 13, 2009 at The Domain. We have volunteer positions for packet stuffing on Saturday, December 5, and setup and packet pickup on Friday and Saturday, December 11-12 too.

All volunteers for each race will receive a free t-shirt, food, parking, and "Pay it Forward" volunteer points. Setup, teardown, and truck loading/unloading are worth double PIF points! If you've volunteered for us before and we ran out of volunteer shirts, we think we've solved that problem! There should be enough shirts for everyone!
We gave away the Orbea Mountain bike at our birthday party, but we have a new bike to give away this year! A pretty red one! If you volunteer for at least 3 events in the 2009-2010 season, you'll be eligible to win it at our 2010 party! Â
**Even if you're racing, we could use your help with packet pickup before the race or teardown afterwards. Also, please pass this along to anyone who might want to come watch you race on Sunday! Let's put them to work if they're coming all the way there!
