I was part of the Veterans for Sarcoma Oly relay team last year, but I'm not sure what's up for this year. It's not part of the Texas Tri Series, so I will procrastinate as long as possible to decide! Â

I volunteered in 08 and it was a mess of a race. But I raced it last year and they had improved the organization quite a bit. It's spectator friendly with all the loops and downtown Austin is a pretty cool race site. Plus, the run is not on a trail!!  The early bird discount doesn't end until may 2nd, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there.Â

I also signed up for the Olympic.. however, my foot thing ended up being a stress fracture. Â FROM WALKING AND TRIPPING!!! Â Can you believe it?? Â I've been told not to run until it stops hurting.:(
SO.. I've asked for a medical deferral for next year, but not sure if they will let me do that or not. Â If they don't - I'm going to do the swim/bike and DNF on the run.
