Brushy Creek Regional Trail
Address: 3300 Brushy Creek Rd., Cedar Park
A hike and bike trail in Williamson county. The entire length of the trail is over seven miles (out and back). There is a 1mile loop on the west end. There several trailheads along the length of the trail as it runs through several parks. The west end starts at the Brushy Creek Lake Park. The eastern end has recently extend 3/4 mile, but the trail head is at the intersection of Brushy Creek Rd and Great Oaks Dr.
From the website:
The first phase of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail stretches from the intersection of Brushy Creek Road and Great Oaks Drive west over two miles to the new City of Cedar Park Brushy Creek Lake Park. The trail is constructed mostly of crushed granite with occasional areas of concrete. It follows the Brushy Creek through former ranch land and crosses the creek twice. An extension opened recently, that extends the trail east from Great Oaks. Phase 2 extends the trail east from the Creekside Trail Head at Great Oaks, 4,000 feet through Fern Bluff MUD property. The trail goes past the fern covered bluff that was the inspiration for Fern Bluff MUD's name.
Directions:
Go to the intersection of Parmer and Brushy Creek (Brushy Creek is in between 620 and 1431). There may not be a street sign at that corner, but there is a large gas station on the northeast corner. Go east on Brushy Creek (towards Round Rock). The very first entrance is to the park. As soon as you turn onto Brushy Creek (towards Round Rock and away from Cedar Park), the park is the first entrance on the right.
