Trizones Goal Race

This race has been on the calendar for Tri Zoners for several years now!  The event is short enough for the beginner, and long enough for the experienced athletes to “take it to the next levelâ€. Swimming is in beautiful Lake Inks, cycle thru the hill country and run the the park---and then of course--TRI FOR PIE! Eat at Bluebonnet Cafe afterwards!
Swim - 800m in open water in Inks Lake, parallel to the shore. It is an out and back course around a bouy. We have a wading start with usually five waves of about 80 to 100 per wave. Waves are five minutes apart. We have spotters on land and kayaks in the water to assist swimmers. Swim caps designate wave starts.  Water is always above 80 degrees and NO wetsuits are permitted.
Bike - The bike is an out and back on a park road, 18 miles total. The first four miles or so is curvy, with slight hills, nothing tremendous. The is open road, you must obey laws and watch for traffic. We do have law enforcement at key intersections. Support vehicles patrol course.
Run - 5K totally within the park coundaries. Course is a little up and down, but again, no major hills. The first mile is on one side of the transition area. The next two miles are on the other side of the transition area. so you do backtrack for part of the

My letter...
Says 2pm-6:30pm Thursday at Austin TriCyclist for Packet Pickup. Surely the race director wouldn't tell Gina til 7pm if it wasn't so?? But, you might want to get there before 6:30pm, just in case he didn't tell the volunteers til 7pm!!
And I am SO happy I can do this race since I won't be in Antarctica yet!! :-)Cindy

Results?
Anyone know where the results are listed?  My Garmin died during the race even though it was on the charger all night long. :( I know my times were slow, but I'd like to still know what they were exactly and take note of them.
