Austin LIVESTRONG Challenge

When: Oct 21 2012 - 8:00am
Distance: Multiple: from 15 to 100 miles
Location: Austin, Texas
On the Web: http://laf.livestrong.org/s...

As our organization celebrates its 15th anniversary, the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge takes great pride in our history of cycling events. What started as a small ride called the Race for the Roses that Lance Armstrong began in 1997 has blossomed into a premiere fundraising event for LIVESTRONG. In 2011 participants raised over $2.5 million for LIVESTRONG to support cancer survivorship programs and initiatives. We hope you’ll join us as we aim to make this year’s event a monumental cycling experience for LIVESTRONG and for the city of Austin. Our goal is to have over 4,000 cyclists take on ride distances ranging from 15–100 miles. Choose your distance based on skill level and experience.

Jack & Adams team...

I signed up on Jack & Adam's team since Mike since is the only cancer/biker/dude I know... and he has such an amazing heart and the ability to open doors for so many...

I signed up for the 100 mile since it's the same price as the shorter distances...

FUN!

You can do anything... if you try. (tri!)

I'm likely to do this.

I'm likely to do this. Haven't signed up yet. Not sure I want to do 100, but I'd definitely do 65. Is Mike's team separate from the Jack & Adam's team? I had planned on signing up with J&A. Not planning to 100% commit until after Kerrville

I'm on the fence with this...

Like Heather, I'll make a decision after Kerrville!

Switched to 65 mile route!

OK - I'm going to do 65 miles this year and 100 miles next year. (after looking at the map!)

I can't figure out how to get the distances in before the event w/ Kerrville Tri in there and having appropriate rest day. :P   65 doesn't seem that long in this group - but in the "real world" it is!

Miguel and I are signed up to do the 65 miles. And that is a long ride, here or in the "real world" ;-)
