Fun, Flat, Fast race with OUTRAGEOUS goodie bags. Last year there was an awesome backpack, socks, shirt, hat, cup, waterbottle, and a lot of other stuff I can't remember. Swim 800M in a man made lake, ride 20 flat miles under beautiful oak trees, and finish with a 5K on the service roads of the Lafayette Airport. This one always sells out, so register early. And I can guarantee that there is better Cajun food in Lafayette than there is in Shreveport!

Registration opened at midnight last night. The field is capped at 500, and they have sold out the last 7 years, so I suggest registering online ASAP. RAz and I will be there, as this was my first tri ever (last year). The goody bags are better than anything Ive seen in TX (except 3M Half Marathon). Registration is online only at active.com

Shucks! I wish we could be there for you! That sounds like a fun race... Be sure you have Raz take lots of pictures, have him ring that cowbell like there's a whole corp there for you and you write a really good race report with all the juicy details!!

I wrote the whole thing during my lunch break, and then reached back to stretch out in my chair, and hit the power strip with my foot, so I have to re-write it.. that is a good indication of how the race went though, but the schwag was good.. ill bring it on Wednesday
