A great triathlon event that is short enough for the beginner, and still challenging enough for the experienced athletes to 'light it up'. Held at the Texas Ski Ranch, this is an event you definitely don't want to miss. Jack's Generic Tri, is, well, it's Generic. Created as a return to the events of old, when everything was all about the participants. Jack's is one of the best well run, safest, and most fun triathlon events you will ever do.
The 'relatively short' swim is held in the Texas Ski Ranch cable lake, free from any boats. The bike and run are held on back country central Texas roads with little to no traffic. The post race party is one of the best in the business. A free Texas Ski Ranch cookout, with beer, ice cream, and thousands of dollars in free gear.
Volunteer duty
Well, since I have done two tri's in two weeks, I volunteered for Jack's. And put Tri Zones in the comment field so we can get credit!
I requested swim course duty so I could be done early and cheer near the finish. But if I find out my duties are different, I will post the info so you participants can look for me.
