The half marathon is run on a fairly challenging, certified course on country roads southeast of the Tanger Outlet Center. It is an out-and-back course that includes a loop of approximately 9 miles. The course is fairly flat between miles 4 and 5.5, and again between miles 7 and 8.5; the rest is moderately-rolling hills, with one rather nasty one at mile 3.5. (This is the same course as the ARA 20-Miler, without the out-and-back section that began at aout mile 5ish). There is also a 5K -- an out-and-back over the last part of the half-marathon course.
I thought about doing this
but it's the day after Spokes n' spurs bike ride and I thought our coach would think that's not enough recovery time after AT&T!
