Tri Zones Training is an Austin, Texas based triathlon training group. Tri Zones has training programs through out the year to help you attain your fitness goals. With all training programs, you will receive:

  • Weekly group workouts led by local coaches
  • Written workout schedule every week
  • Skill and training workouts in swimming, cycling, and running
  • Instruction on heart rate training
  • Online access to coaches
  • Complete access to all of trizones.com
  • Discounts from our sponsors.

Individualized programs and special coaching session are also available.

Women's teams: NXNW (North and South are currently closed) -- we'll help you get ready for Danskin and Skeese Greets!!

Are you wanting to train for the 2008 triathlon season? Tri Zones Training offers several options, starting in early March! We'll help you get ready for some of the most popular spring races, including The Rookie, Skeese Greets Women's Tri, CapTexTri, and the Danskin Women's Triathlon.

We provide training for beginners and intermediates, with co-ed and our new Spring WOMEN'S-ONLY teams, to get you ready for your first sprint to Olympic distance and beyond! Come train with the same people who have brought you Team Danskin Training in Austin for the last five years and who have helped so many go from their first triathlon to being an active lifestyler!! Women's-Only Spring Triathlon Training Session

Pre-race

Our Women's-Only training group is specially designed to empower women to successfully complete their first triathlon or greatly improve their triathlon experience through a very supportive all-women environment. It's perfect if you want to make Skeese Greets Women's Tri and/or the Danskin Women's Triathlon part of your goals for this spring!

Post-race smilesOur Women's-Only Spring Training Session is a 10-week training program that meets on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings, from April 2 through June 11. Our group workouts will include pool swims, open water swims, cycling, running, and transitions. You'll receive guidance and valuable tips from our USAT-certified coaches. We'll also provide a workout calendar giving you workouts for the other days of the week.

YMCA! Tri Zones Training offers camaraderie that can't be matched anywhere in Austin. We provide a nurturing, supportive environment with a YOU GO GIRL! spirit at all workouts. We'll have at least six to twelve experienced coaches and assistants at every workout. We are USAT-certified coaches who know all about working with beginners -- we have been on the Danskin race committee since 2000 and we were the coaches for Team Danskin Training for the last five years.

Each team will feature two tracks:
A. First Tri -- New to triathlon? This is the spot for you! We'll teach you all you need to know about the sport of triathlon and break the training down into the basic incremental steps that will take you from the couch to the finish line in 10 weeks! All fitness abilities welcome!

B. Tri, Tri Again -- This track is for women who have completed one or more triathlons and are ready to take it to the next level. If you are ready for a challenge, this is the place for you. We will redefine what it means to swim, bike and run like a girl!! All fitness abilities welcome!

Intermediate Spring Triathlon Training Session

Our Intermediate training group is for those who have completed at least 4 or 5 triathlons and you're ready to take it to the next level this spring. We also welcome beginner men who are training for triathlons, including the Texas Tri Series. We welcome ALL speeds. The biggest difference between Beginner and Intermediate will be the more advanced information that is given at the workouts, and the challenge level of the workouts and training schedule.

This program will help you prepare for late spring triathlons including The Rookie, and CapTexTri. It will also help build a solid foundation for the remainder of the Texas Tri Series.

Vineman2006 096 smOur Intermediate Spring Session is a 10-week training program that will add to your current state of fitness and fine-tune your skills. We will build endurance in all three sports so you can prepare for other spring events, including and various 5Ks, 10Ks, and supported cycling events. We will focus on speed and strength, to help you maximize your performance.

Finish line We meet on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30pm and Saturday mornings from 9:15 - 11:15am, from April 1 through June 10.

Our twice-weekly group workouts will include pool swims, open water swims, cycling, running, and transitions. You'll receive guidance and valuable tips from our USAT-certified coaches. We'll also provide a workout calendar giving you workouts for the other days of the week. We will offer three tracks: Sprint, Olympic, and Half Ironman.

Spring Triathlon Training Sessions

Tri Zones Training offers 10-week spring training sessions to help you get ready for spring and early summer races!

Maybe you've set a New Year's resolution to become more fit. Perhaps you've been wanting to try your first tri. Or you may be a returning triathlete who is ready to dust off your winter clothes and begin your spring training.

Our spring training sessions start in early April meet twice weekly through mid-June. For more details or to register, click on the program name:
